Harvey’s is a homestead supply store located in Hot Springs, South Dakota, on the southern edge of the beautiful Black Hills.
“We” are Jeremy and Carrie Isaac, and along with our five children we work together to outfit your family with everything you need to produce more of your own food, whether you’re just dipping your toes in the water with a few chickens and making bread or working to grow a large percentage of the calories your family consumes.

Where did the name “Harvey’s” come from?
You’ll find no bigger fan of the state of South Dakota than Jeremy’s grandpa, Harvey, so it was fitting that we name our farm supply store after the man who made his living farming on the eastern side of our state. Both sets of Harvey’s German grandparents emigrated from Russia in the early 1900s and settled on the South Dakota prairie near Herreid.
Though he’s now moved out of state to be closer to family, he loves visiting South Dakota and says the land is instantly more beautiful the minute he crosses the state line.
Harvey and Berneice attended our grand opening and were tickled pink to be our guests of honor!

Our town of ~3,700 has several awesome tourist attractions such as Wind Cave National Park, The Mammoth Site, and mineral springs, but it’s one of the least tourist-y cities in the Black Hills so if you’re looking for a slower-paced, small-town vacation, we’d love to have you visit Hot Springs!
If you’re traveling here from out of town, we invite you to consider staying at our other family business, The Evanston Suites vacation rentals in Hot Springs, SD.
