Events at Harvey’s Homestead Supply

Classes and Demonstrations

Many Saturday mornings we hold a free demonstration (and sometimes we have mid-week ones as well). During the demonstration, we’ll do the thing in front of you and explain what we’re doing along the way – like a live YouTube tutorial, but you can jump in and ask questions! Most demonstrations are about one hour.

Seed Starting Basics

Saturday, February 14th at 9 AM

Our relatively short growing season makes indoor seed starting a necessity for many types of plants. Learn how to start seeds indoors (and which ones to just plant outside), then how to transplant them successfully. Click to RSVP.

Beginner Sourdough

***Tuesday***, February 17th at 9 AM

Want to join the sourdough revolution but need some help? We’ll help you get started making sourdough with basic methods that you can adapt to your style and schedule.

Please note this class is being held on a TUESDAY. Click to RSVP.

Cooking with Tallow

Saturday, February 21st at 9 AM

You’ve heard about the negative effects of seed oils and the health benefits of tallow, but how do you cook with tallow? We’ll get you started learning how to cook with tallow as well as lard, and also demonstrate how to render your own. Click to RSVP.

Home-Brewed Kombucha

Saturday, February 28th at 9 AM

Boost your gut health by brewing your own kombucha. Learn how to ferment and flavor this refreshing beverage at our demonstration. Click to RSVP.

Raising Chicks

Saturday, March 7th at 9 AM

Whether it’s your first time raising chicks or you just want a refresher course, this class will give you everything you need to welcome those birdies with confidence! Click to RSVP.
