I have childhood memories of rotating eggs in my best friend’s family’s homemade incubation setup. While I thought it was fun as a kid, it seems like a lot of hassle now!
The technology has come a long way and there are now options for home incubation that are nearly completely hands-off. With the way chick sales have gone this year, this might be the only option left for adding new chicks to your flock if you don’t have a broody hen!

We carry three options of the Farm Innovators incubators at Harvey’s, from $69 to $149. All three have a digital display that shows temperature and humidity.
The 2250 and 2450 add a fan to circulate the air, and have a “Days to Hatch” countdown on the digital display.

The 2450 model features an automatic egg turner so you don’t have to manually rotate them. We are demonstrating this one in-store at Harvey’s, so come on in and check it out in action! (Chicks should begin hatching March 22nd.)

Come on over to Harvey’s in Hot Springs and check out our Farm Innovators incubators! If you don’t currently have a rooster, ask around: you probably have a friend who would be willing to sell you some fertilized eggs for the right price.
If incubating eggs is not in the cards for you, you can check to see if we have any chicks remaining for pre-order here.
