Here is our favorite recipe for elderberry syrup. The amount of honey can be varied based on your preference.

Elderberry Syrup Recipe
200 grams dried elderberries
40 grams astragalus root (not powder)
20 grams cinnamon pieces or stick (not powder)
16 grams whole cloves
4 garlic cloves
20 grams fresh ginger
1/2 to 1 cup raw honey
Weigh out all the ingredients except the honey and place in a pot. Pour two quarts cool water in the pot with the berries and other ingredients. Bring to a boil and boil until reduced by half, about fifteen minutes. Let cool, then strain and add raw honey. Store in the refrigerator.
How to use elderberry syrup: For general immune support, take one tablespoon daily. If you feel illness coming on, take one tablespoon three times per day.
