from Busy Ewe Farms in Custer, South Dakota

Information on growing practices from Busy Ewe Farms: Lamb is raised on pasture and hay but may be fed lamb creep or alfalfa pellets before weaning if needed. Supplements are not medicated and we do not vaccinate (some older animals may have been vaccinated with CDT in ’23 or ’24). Antibiotic use and deworming is limited to when necessary for an animal’s health.

from HK Yak Ranch in Sundance, Wyoming

Information on growing practices from HK Yak Ranch: The yaks graze freely on the ranch and are only put in pens for brief periods of the year for veterinary checkups. Grazing is supplemented with hay that is primarily grown on the ranch itself. You won’t find any chemicals or hormones on the ranch – just pure and delicious yak meat.
