At least a few times every month in local Facebook groups, someone asks “Where’s a UPS dropoff location in Hot Springs?”
Or, some of us have watched out the front window all day to watch for the UPS guy to appear so that we can give him a package to ship.
Now there’s a new option: You can drop off ready-to-ship UPS packages at Harvey’s Homestead Supply at 631 N. River Street in Hot Springs, South Dakota!
We can accept packages with a UPS label during our normal business hours: Tuesday-Friday 9-6 and Saturday 9-3. We are closed on Sunday and Monday. Our UPS driver is scheduled to pick up packages from us on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Please note that your package needs to be ready to go with a UPS label – we can’t create or print labels for you at this time. And, they need to be UPS, not postal service or FedEx (there’s a FedEx drop box across the street from the post office).
Naturally, when you come into Harvey’s to drop off your UPS package, we hope you’ll take a look around the store, but we’re also happy to just accept your package and have you dash right back out the door. We do not charge for the UPS drop off service.
